Sales Tax Nexus in New Mexico
Floor Warehouse has an economic nexus in New Mexico and collects sales tax (gross receipts tax, GRT) on all orders shipped to New Mexico addresses.
Sales Tax on New Mexico Orders
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on the delivery address (7.875%-8.3125%, e.g., 7.875% in Albuquerque, 8.1875% in Santa Fe). Tax applies to product price and shipping costs, as shown in your cart and finalized at checkout.
Out-of-State Orders
We collect sales tax only for New Mexico orders, unless required by law in other states where we have a nexus. Customers outside New Mexico may owe use tax to their state. Check local tax authorities for compliance. A use tax notice is displayed at checkout.
Exemptions and Resale Certificates
- Tax-Exempt Purchases: Submit a valid exemption certificate (e.g., for resale, nonprofits) to support@floorwarehouse.com before ordering. Approved exemptions remove tax at checkout.
- Resale Certificates: Businesses purchasing for resale must submit a New Mexico or equivalent state resale certificate to support@floorwarehouse.com.
